The pacer, Mohammed Shami is in great form in the Cricket World Cup. Though he missed the first four games of India’s campaign as he was not included, the man became the fourth-highest wicket-taker in this World Cup. Shami took 16 wickets in just 4 matches and rose as the team’s most successful bowler at an average of 7.00. The 33-year-old already has two five-wicket hauls and a four-for in India’s last four games against New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka and South Africa.
While Shami is being hailed for his exceptional performance in the whole cricket fraternity, the bowler’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan is making headlines for her bizarre statement about her husband’s success.

Mohammed Shami and Hasin Jahan relationship
Hasin Jahan and Mohammed Shami got married on June 6, 2014. The couple welcomed their daughter in 2015. Shami and Hasin Jahan went through a painful divorce after she accused the Indian pacer of domestic violence, infidelity, marital rape, and match-fixing.
Jahan had also said that she would reveal all the proofs of her allegations to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Shami’s wife even took custody of their only child.
On March 8, 2018, Jahan lodged an FIR against her husband. The couple have been living separately since 2018.
Earlier, this year, a Kolkata court ordered Mohammed Shami to pay a monthly alimony of Rs 1,30,000 to his estranged wife in a domestic violence case.

On his part, Shami denied all the charges and stated that his wife had become ‘evil’. Speaking on match-fixing allegations he also expressed,
“I can die for my country but never betray”
After the Calcutta HC dismissed her plea seeking to lift stay on the arrest warrant against Shami, Hasin Jahan moved to the Supreme Court. A sessions court in West Bengal had stayed the arrest warrant against Shami.
In an interview with NewsNation, Hasin Jahan was questioned about Shami and Team India’s success in the ongoing World Cup and was asked to comment on the same
Jahan started off by saying that she isn’t a fan of cricket and cricketers. However, she said that if Shami plays well for the country then he will earn well and will be able to provide for her and their daughter Aaira. She said,
“Kuch bhi hai, accha perform kr rha hai, accha khelega, team main bana rahega, achha kamayega toh humara bhavishya secure rahega. (Whatever it is, if he [Shami] is performing well, will stay in Indian team and earn well, it will secure our future).”
Jahan showed no interest in wishing him well for the upcoming games. In the interview she said,
