Most of us start our careers in our twenties or thirties. Although it’s wonderful to finally start making money and “being on your own,” corporate life is very different from what we thought it would be when we were younger. It’s demanding and unfulfilling.
Because of this, working in corporations can be boring sometimes. But most importantly, it makes our social lives miserable, especially in major metropolitan cities that never sleep, and where people are always at work.

As a result, many people use breaks, holidays, or parties to unwind from their stress. However, it doesn’t change their lifestyle. They tend to keep them busy with their work rather than making relationships, which is not always good because relationships are much more important than money.
While these kinds of people use social media to meet with different people, some people take a different path and invent their own way of outreaching out to people. A similar thing happened in Bengaluru when a successful Microsoft engineer part-time worked as a driver.
It sounds inventive! Na? One person shared this story on social media, which triggered a spur of unexpected reactions on social media.
When an engineer becomes a driver
But how frequently do you encounter people who double as drivers in order to make new friends? An unusual tale of a Microsoft employee who moonlights as a Rapido driver on the weekends to socialize with new people was recounted by Nikhil Seth in a now-viral tweet.
Nikhil Seth posted on the microblogging website about how his Rapido (bike-taxi) driver disclosed during a casual discussion that he is an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) at Microsoft and drives on the weekends merely to talk to people. In his tweet, he wrote,
“My Rapido Driver today was an SDET at Microsoft & he told me that he drives just to talk to people and as a hobby on weekends. @peakbengaluru”

Being a driver is a really interesting job. I often think how many kinds of things a driver must be listening while driving.
Even I want to make conversations to the drivers but I’m too introverted for that. https://t.co/iT0wPBlrTG— Soami Mauj (@soami_m17) July 25, 2022
