Online delivery services have completely changed how we shop, dine, and access services in the digital era. These services have become essential to modern living because it is convenient to have goods delivered to our doorsteps, sometimes in hours. However, even with its accessibility and efficiency, the sector is not without its difficulties. These include the occasional errors in delivery or broken items. It can seriously undermine consumer confidence and satisfaction.
Recently, a Delhi-based entrepreneur shared the same kind of instance. He claimed that his acquaintance had placed a Rs 30,000 speaker purchase on Flipkart. But when he got the order, he discovered a cheap speaker.

The customer got a cheap speaker instead of what he ordered
According to a businessman in Delhi, his buddy placed an order on Flipkart for a Sonos speaker valued at Rs 30,000. However, when the item arrived, he discovered that an MI Bluetooth speaker, valued at Rs 2,300, was in the packaging. Abhishek Bhatnagar, who has over 66,000 followers on X, took to the platform to complain about the incident. He said that despite multiple pleas, Flipkart was not able to resolve the matter. In his tweet, he wrote,
My friend (Nikhil) ordered a Sonos speaker worth ₹30,000, and he got a Mi Bluetooth ₹2400 INR speaker in a box of Sonos. Even after multiple follow-ups and complaints, Flipkart and Flipkart Support do not care to respond to or resolve this. My friend also recorded a video of the unboxing, which I have attached as proof and some photos. It is quite sad that even when a customer has proof of a fake or wrong product delivered, they do not care to respond. I will soon be posting the unboxing video as proof if they do not resolve this. Also, he has submitted the video proof as well, but there is still no resolution and no refund. Flipkart should be renamed to Fraudkart.

In addition, Bhatnagar posted an unpacking video in which the Flipkart container was sealed, and the Sonos speaker box was well packaged. Nevertheless, there is no footage of the Flipkart client opening the Sonos package. Furthermore, images circulated also displayed the Sonos box containing the Mi speaker; however, none of them featured the original speaker’s carton being unpacked.

Today i have received a 1000 rs. TWS, and it was open box delivery, so can’t believe that your friend received 30000 rs. product without open box delivery, so your friend is a real scammer i think 🤣

Probably its some sort of dealer, courier, delivery guy and fraudsters involvement. Flipkart office not directly packing the stuff.

Flipkart accepted their mistake later
Bhatnagar stated in a different post that Flipkart had contacted them and promised to address the issue within two days. In the post, he wrote,
Update: Flipkart has investigated and found out that it was their mistake and has now promised a replacement. Thanks to everyone who supported. For all those doubting, Nikhil is a close friend, and I trust him. I know the unboxing video was not perfect, but he recorded what he could. In the end, when Flipkart accepted after investigation that it was from the seller side, that was enough for us. Also, my friend Nikhil never asked for a refund, but he wanted the product, which he is finally getting. For all those on Twitter abusing me and him, I hope you guys now understand that if there is not exact video proof of something, that does not mean that it did not happen. Take care, guys. Thanks again.
