With the festive season in full swing, finding time to shop can be challenging. To ease the rush, delivery services like Blinkit and Zepto launched a special service, promising to deliver gold and silver to customers’ doorsteps in just 10 minutes. However, for one man, the convenience turned sour on Dhanteras when he received only half the gold he had ordered from Blinkit.
Delhi Man left disappointed by Blinkit’s gold delivery service on Dhanteras
Dhanteras is a festival that is considered highly auspicious for buying gold and silver. In this time of modernity, delivery service platforms like Blinkit decided to deliver gold and silver to people’s doorstep. A Delhi resident named Mohit Jain decided to try Blinkit’s quick delivery service. However, what was meant to be a convenient shopping experience turned into a frustrating ordeal.

He took to X and shared,
“I ordered 1 gm gold coin from blinkit, along with the 1gm silver coin. It was all prepaid.”
When the delivery guy came with the order he was not at home so his younger brother received the delivery. He shared the OTP that was needed to verify the order.
About 20 minutes later he reached home to be nothing but highly disappointed. Why? Because he hadn’t received the exact items he had ordered. He mentioned,
“I got 0.5gm Malabar gold coin (rose design). What I ordered was 1 gm Mata lakshmi gold coin.”

To add to his frustration, the return window had closed within those 20 minutes
To add to Mohit Jain’s frustration, Blinkit’s return window closed within the brief 20 minutes he was away. All of this left no option to initiate a return or reach customer support directly. Feeling helpless, he attempted to resolve the issue by calling the delivery agent. In his disappointment, Jain explained that,
” I literally cried while talking to him.”
Jain was further disheartened when the delivery agent admitted there was nothing he could do.
“Uske paas delivery karne se pehle woh coin ke pictures hai par usne kaha woh kuch nhi kar skta even after knowing he delivered me wrong item. (He has pictures of the coin taken before delivery, but he said there’s nothing he can do, even after knowing he delivered the wrong item to me.)”

After such a horrible experience he concluded his post by saying,
“It was the first and last time of me ordering something so expensive from Blinkit.”
