On Thursday, India faced a saddening yet a very crushing defeat against England in the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The men in blue lost by 10 wickets while 24 balls were still remaining. This made England reach the finals meanwhile India had to give up on its WorldCup 2022 dream.
India’s exit from the World Cup gave Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif a chance to take a cheeky jibe. Pakistan’s PM made a tweet in order to mock the Indian team.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took a cheeky jibe at team India
Moments after India’s heartbreaking semi-final loss against England in T20 World Cup 2022 Pakistan PM made a tweet. In order to humiliate and mock the Rohit Sharma-led men in blue Shehbaz tweeted as we quote,
“So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0 #T20WorldCup.”

🇵🇰 🇬🇧 #T20WorldCup

To give a clearer picture, the 152/0 signifies India’s 10-wicket defeat against Pakistan in last year’s T20 World Cup. On the other hand, 170/0 was the score via which England won against India on Thursday. This tweet widely went viral. So much so that Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was also asked about it, if the tweet by their PM puts added pressure on the team. To the question he replied,

“No I don’t think there’s any added pressure, basically, sorry to say I haven’t seen this tweet so far, and I have no knowledge of this, but there is no added pressure, we only try to give our best no matter the opposition.”
For such a controversial and cheeky tweet Pakistan PM received a lot of flak. Be it Indian fans or former Indian players all tried to give a mouth-shutting reply to Pakistan PM in their own way.
Former Indian player Irfan Pathan gave a befitting reply to Shehbaz Sharif’s tweet
On the eve of the England VS Pakistan finale clash, former Indian pacer Irfan Pathan took to Twitter and gave a befitting reply to Shehbaz Sharif’s cheeky tweet. Irfan replied saying,
“Aap mein or hum mein fark yehi hai. Hum apni khushi se khush or aap dusre ke taklif se. Is liye khud ke mulk ko behtar karne pe dhyan nahi hai. (This is the difference between us. We are happy with our happiness and you get happy with others’ loss. That is why you can’t focus on improving your own nation.)”

Indian Cricket commentator Aakash Chopra also made a subtle reply to Shehbaz’s tweet saying,
“Growing old is mandatory. Growing Up is optional.”
On the flip side, Pakistan and England are all set to face one another for the finale of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. With the predictions of rainfall, it would be fun to see which team will actually grab its second T20 World Cup title tomorrow. All we’d like to say is that may the best-playing team win.
