Today, more than half of all people on Earth use the internet. It is because it has amazingly revolutionized practically every facet of life. The internet is used for everything, including communication, socializing, and education. It links us, informs us, enlightens us, leads us, and empowers us.
The Internet has given us an efficient tool to interact with any kind of person or authority without wasting much time or money. People may now contact authorities online, obtain quick information, and even start actions when necessary.

However, this accessibility also has drawbacks.
People on the internet are frequently exposed to unwanted things, which sometimes become a headache. In a similar kind of incident, Sanjiv Kapoor, the CEO of Jet Airways, recently encountered a netizen on Twitter who requested a ticket refund for 2019.
As today is 2022 and 2019 seems too old, it looks like a joke. However, Jet Airways CEO wasn’t very captivated by what he said. As a result, he responded appropriately to him. So, let’s find out what actually transpired:
Sanjiv Kapoor reacted to the netizen who tried to troll him for his association with Spice Jet
Elon Musk’s recently unveiled “blue tick” subscription plan prompted the CEO of Jet Airways to respond on social media. As he wrote,

“I am one of those who finds this extremely pointless. Why not just have a $ sign or something for paid subscribers, and retain the blue tick for verified accounts? It is not rocket science.”

He also shared a Wall Street Journal article with it.
Soon after this, a netizen named Piyush Trivedi replied to this in a very rude way. A man’s reaction, which had nothing to do with the message, arrived two days after the initial tweet. In reply, he wrote,
“Gyan mat do, refund do! For my cancelled flight from 2019”
Gyan mat do, refund do!
For my cancelled flight from 2019.

However, the Jet Airways CEO did not take his rudeness lightly and decided to respond to his tweet. In response, he wrote,
“Thank you. 1. I do not personally owe you money, nor was I part of Jet 1.0.
2. There was a refund process to be followed as defined by the NCLT after Jet 1.0 ceased operations, did you follow it?”
The CEO’s remark was met with a thunderous ovation from the audience. However, the tweet was later removed, but a number of other users responded and recounted cases that were comparable. One of the users wrote,

I am also one of the victims – alas, that was a bad luck to have booked on @jetairways – never knew the ship would sink so fast then – didn’t find my name in the list of creditors although the staff had confirmed the refund – loss of around 12,000 rupees

While another user wrote,
Jet airways owes more than Rs. 90k to me for a canceled flight in 2019. By every reasoning if the brand comes back to full life and does not own up to past dues, it will be unethical beyond any argument.

As Jet resumed operations after 2019, Sanjiv Kapoor was chosen to lead the airline, effective April 4. The airline was founded by Naresh Goyal, who also served as its CEO for 25 years until it was forced to cease operations in 2019.
