It is a very common practice in India to hang wet clothes on the balcony, that is something all desis can relate to. It is even jokingly said that if you find clothes hanging on a balcony to air dry in the sun, then it must be the deed of an Indian.
But there are some places where it is often restricted to wash clothes. And hanging wet clothes on the balcony of Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai is not a common sight.

She shared the video on Instagram where her mother can be seen hanging clothes on the balcony of one of the lavish properties of Dubai. Posting the video, she wrote,
“Moms just momming at Palm Atlantis”
In the video, the Indian mother is seen cautiously hanging a pair of shorts to dry on the guard rail of the balcony. Quickly, the camera zooms to another balcony with clothes out to dry in the sun. As the video went viral, it garnered mixed reactions from the netizens, some criticized the video, and some found it relatable and cute.

The viral video also captured the attention of the Palm Atlantis hotel and they responded with a clever comment
Dubai’s Atlantis, The Palm is a five-star resort popular for its grand amenities and top-notch service. As the video attracted several comments, the hotel resolved the discussion with a witty comment in the comments section.
The hotel applauded the Indian mother for carrying out “mom duties” and also cheekily explained to her that guests can use the retractable drying cord provided in every bathroom to dry their clothes. The official hotel account wrote,
“Mom duties” with an applause emoji.
They also added a suggestion,
