India Reacts To Elon Musk’s Proposal Of Charging $8 For A Blue Tick Verification Subscription On Twitter

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been the talk of the town after he made significant adjustments to Twitter after completing its $44 billion takeover. While Musk and Twitter have been making noise for first laying off its top executives and then a huge number of staff, he made another significant decision.

A new Twitter chief recently revealed that the firm will now charge $20 per month for the “blue tick” verification.

However, soon after the news was announced, people from all over the world went crazy. While public figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Stephen King criticized the action, many netizens supported it.

However, after facing severe criticism, he reduced the proposed charge from $20 to $8. Surprisingly, this made Twitter go crazy again, and the topic has become a trending topic on the platforms.

While netizens flooded the platforms with funny retorts and memes, many others also indirectly criticized both sides for being too overdramatic over just a blue tick. The matter became so hot that even Elon Musk jumped onto the platform to support his choice several times.

He has posted some memes for all the complainers who are complaining about having to pay for a “blue tick” in order to mock them. He blasted individuals for joyfully purchasing $8 worth of Starbucks coffee in one of his memes. However, they beg for $8 for a 30-day subscription to Blue Tick.
