IIT Graduate Lists Academic Achievements On Tinder Profile; Netizens Say, ‘This Is Tinder, Not LinkedIn’

In recent times, the emergence of the internet and social media apps has changed the way we live. Similar kinds of changes happened in our romantics. This led to the emergence of dating apps. They have changed how individuals interact and establish romantic connections. Dating apps have become an essential component of contemporary dating culture due to their user-friendliness, sophisticated algorithms, and location-based matching features.

However, even with such a casual look, some people took them as a platform to highlight who they actually are.

That’s why they often seem confusing and complicated. It leads to prompting people to come up with creative and impressive dating bios to help stand them out. Recently, an IIT alumnus took his dating game to the next level after sharing his academic achievements rather than showing his personal traits on his Tinder profile.

In the era of memes going viral, there is an ITT graduate who made his Tinder profile go viral. And he did this by doing the most ‘ITTish thing,’ that is, to showcase his academic achievements.

The screenshot of the Tinder profile was posted on X, along with the comment, saying,

According to the snapshot, the Tinder user listed a number of academic credentials on his profile. This includes percentages from high school, ranks in JEE mains and advanced, scholarships from NTSE and KVPY, and a B.tech degree in computer science and engineering from IIT Bombay. Additionally, his height and present position at Infosys are also mentioned in the profile.

In this regard, I believe that while showcasing intellectual accomplishments in a Tinder bio may be impressive on LinkedIn, it falls flat in the dating world, where a human connection is more important.
