According to Hello Magazine, Musk paid around $50,000 (around Rs.41 lakhs) for the 375-square-foot prefab home designed by the Las Vegas company, Boxabl

On the Full Send podcast, Musk stated that after purchasing his minimalistic two-bedroom from Boxabl, he converted it into a three-bedroom. He said,

“I’ve done a lot. It’s technically a three-bedroom; it used to be a two-bedroom, but I converted the garage into a third bedroom”

On the show, he even confessed that his friends are startled by his decision to live in a prefab house. He continued,

“They come and stay, and they can’t believe I’m staying in this house”
