Diljit Dosanjh Responds To AP Dhillon’s Statement That He Has Blocked Him; Singer Drops A Cryptic Comment

Controversies and feuds are nothing new to the entertainment industry. These disputes involve celebrities or powerful figures in the industry, which is why they frequently make headlines and take center stage in public conversations. However, in the era of social media, these feuds have taken a new form. In recent years, we have seen how social media amplified these feuds, and artists have used social media to express their dissent.

Similarly, the rivalry between well-known Punjabi musicians Diljit Dosanjh and AP Dhillon has recently sparked conversations on social media. Although some see this bitterness as a logical byproduct of rivalry, others think it has been purposefully heightened for media attention.

How did the Diljit vs. AP feud start?

As AP Dhillon and Karan Aujla started their Indian concert tours, Diljit Dosanjh recently offered them a shoutout. Speaking about them during his Indore concert on 8th December, Diljit said,

Best of luck, unke liye bhi. Mere aur do bhaiyon ne tour shuru kiya hai Karan Aujla aur AP Dhillon nein.

He further said,

Yeh independent music ka time shuru hai. Musibate toh ayengi. Jab koi revolution aata hai toh musibat aati hai. Hum apna kam karte jayenge.

However, Diljit’s wishes did not go well with Dhillon. Reacting to Diljit’s comment, Dhillon disclosed that Diljit had blocked him on Instagram, sparking rumors of a dispute between them. Speaking about this, Dhillon said in Punjabi:

I just want t say one small thing, brother. First, unblock me on Instagram and then talk to me. I don’t want to talk about what marketing is happening but first unblock me. I’ve been working for three years. Have you ever seen me in any controversy.

Diljit refuted AP Dhillon’s claims, showing proof that he didn’t block him

Upon seeing that the controversy was getting bigger, Dijit Dosanjh responded to the claims. Sharing the screenshot of AP Dhillon’s Instagram ID, he claimed that he never blocked AP Dhillon. He made a joke about how he can have issues with the government but not with artists. In his Instagram story, Diljit wrote,

I never blocked you. Mere pange sarkaaran naal ho sakde aa….kalaakaran naal ni.

AP Dhillon posted a cryptic note on social media along with proof to back his claim

AP Dhillon continued the IG feud by posting screenshots as proof of how Diljit blocked him on his Instagram stories. Adding “before,” AP Dhillon shared a video on his Instagram Stories about how he was unable to view Diljit’s Instagram ID. In Punjabi, he added,

Diljit de fan’s nu ay ni pta k unblock bhi ho jande.

It means that Diljit’s fans are unaware that it can also be unblocked.

Later on, he shared another video named “after,” showing that he was now able to access Diljit’s profile after clicking on it. He tagged Diljit in the video as well.

In another story, Dhillon wrote,

I was not planning on saying s**t knowing everyone will hate on me anyways but at least we know what is real and what is not.

AP Dhillon was earlier criticized for targeting Diljit Dosanjh

A few months ago, following a show in New Delhi, AP Dhillon posted an Instagram post having Jazzy B and Yo Yo Honey Singh. However, netizens find spice in it and claimed that it appeared to be targeted at Diljit. It is because of the caption of the post that read, “Punjabis were always here.” It appeared to dispute Diljit’s famous “Punjabi aa gaye oye” phrase.

Later, in a cryptic Instagram Story, AP Dhillon admitted that he felt compelled to address the matter on stage even though he anticipated backlash for bringing it up in public.

Meanwhile, the feud is dividing supporters. While some people applaud AP Dhillon for pointing out what he considers to be inauthenticity, others think that the matter could have been resolved privately instead of in front of the public.

Due to their devoted fan bases, Diljit and AP Dhillon are both well-liked by the public. As part of his The Brownprint tour, AP Dhillon is currently touring India. On the other hand, Diljit is also busy with his Diluminati tour. His next show will be in Guwahati on December 29, which will be his last stop on the tour.
