The 23-year-old cricketer Dhruv Jurel played a crucial role in India’s series win against England in Ranchi. He rose as the star cricketer and also became the Man of the Match for displaying his maturity of a 20-Test veteran at such a young age. The youngster won the hearts of the nation for helping India win the 4th Test by five wickets in the series against England. Jurel played well in both innings, in one he hit a career-best 90 and when the team was rocked at 120/5 he helped chase 192 with Shubman Gill. Dhruv lifted India from 177-7 in their first innings to 307 on day 3, just 46 runs less than England’s total of 353.

Jurel was part of the India team from the beginning, but he had to wait for his turn. Dhruv made his debut in the previous Test at Rajkot. By performing spectacularly in the Ranchi Test, the wicketkeeper-batter was praised by many renowned cricketers.

Dhruv Jurel took to social media and thanked his coach and skipper

In Ranchi, Jurel exceptionally assisted India and more than lived up to everyone’s expectations. However, all this wouldn’t have been achievable without the help of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid who backed him.

The rising star took to social media and put out a post on platform X, speaking his heart out by thanking skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid for believing in him. Jurel posted a relevant picture and wrote,

“Thank you Rohit bhaiya, Rahul sir for believing in this boy”

Jurel successfully utilized the opportunity

Jurel’s family supported him a lot to fulfill his dreams. Apparently, his mother sold jewelry to ensure her son stayed on the path of his goals, and his father tolerated taunts from neighbors for backing his cricket aspirations. He finally achieved his dream of playing for India. When he received his Test cap from Dinesh Karthik, Jurel instantly sought out his mother and touched her feet to acknowledge the important role she played in his journey that led to this moment.
