The 23-year-old cricketer Dhruv Jurel played a crucial role in India’s series win against England in Ranchi. He rose as the star cricketer and also became the Man of the Match for displaying his maturity of a 20-Test veteran at such a young age. The youngster won the hearts of the nation for helping India win the 4th Test by five wickets in the series against England. Jurel played well in both innings, in one he hit a career-best 90 and when the team was rocked at 120/5 he helped chase 192 with Shubman Gill. Dhruv lifted India from 177-7 in their first innings to 307 on day 3, just 46 runs less than England’s total of 353.

Jurel was part of the India team from the beginning, but he had to wait for his turn. Dhruv made his debut in the previous Test at Rajkot. By performing spectacularly in the Ranchi Test, the wicketkeeper-batter was praised by many renowned cricketers.
