Dhanashree Verma showcased her support for Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal has inked a deal with Kent County Cricket Club, committing to participate in three County Championship matches for the team. Being overlooked by the national selection committee, he decided to be available for Kent’s upcoming fixtures, including home clashes against Nottinghamshire and Lancashire. Apart from these two, he will also be available for the away game against Somerset.

Amid all this, Dhanashree Verma, wife of Yuzvendra Chahal took to her Instagram story in order to post a special message for him. She shared the clubbed post of Kent cricket and Yuzvendra Chahal on her story and affirmed how proud she is of him. She wrote as we quote,
“Always so proud of you. You are our legend.”
She further added,
“Let’s show some more magic.”
“This is an exciting challenge for me,” said Chahal in a club statement
Following seamer Arshdeep Singh’s stint, Chahal will become the second Indian player to join the side. While Arshdeep had an impressive five-game spell with Kent in June and July, where he managed to claim 13 wickets, it would be fun to witness how Chahal performs for Kent. In a club statement, the 33-year-old leg spinner said as we quote,
“This is an exciting challenge for me, playing in English county cricket, and one I’m very much looking forward to.”
Kent head coach Paul Downton also showcased his happiness with the joining of Yuzvendra Chahal. He was seen affirming as we quote,

“We’re delighted to have secured a spinner of Yuzvendra’s quality for the last three Championship matches of the season, with Matt Parkinson not available to us until next year, and Hami Qadri recently injured.”
Talking about Chahal, the Kent coach further added,
“He is really looking forward to playing in English conditions and will bring a significant amount of skill and international experience to our squad.”
Kent, currently positioned in the ninth spot of the Division 1 table, faces the looming threat of relegation. Amid such times, Chahal joining the club can turn out to be fruitful.
