With Asia Cup 2023 just around the corner, cricket fans are buzzing with excitement. Everyone was waiting with bated breaths for BCCI to announce India 17 man Asia Cup 2023 squad. On Monday, August 21, the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee came forward with the India squad for the continental tournament. Amongst the many snubs, Yuzvendra Chahal not making it to the team was the most notable one.
The committee has preferred our specialist spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, and spin bowling all-rounders like Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja. Seems like luck doesn’t favour Yuzvendra Chahal when it comes to squad selections as previously too, during the team selection for India’s T20 World Cup 2021, the management picked the veteran off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin over him.

Dhanashree Verma shared a cryptic message via her Instagram stories, questioning if being an “introvert” can hinder your career growth.
The story read,
“Now I have started to question this on a serious note. If being super submissive & introvert can be harmful for your work growth? Or do we all have to be an extrovert & street smart savvy to grow in life?”
She further added,

After the Indian squad announcement for Asia Cup 2023 was made, Yuzvendra Chahal took to Twitter to post a message with only emojis.

At a press conference, after the Chief Selector, Ajit Agarkar was asked about Yuzi Chahal’s omission from the squad, he told that it was becoming difficult to fit in two wrist spinners in the team. Further, he justified his decision by saying that reportedly Kuldeep Yadav is a bit ahead of Chahal when it comes to the spot of a single wrist spinner.
When asked about Chahal, Ajit Agarkar told the press,
“Terrific performer but we had to look at the balance of the team. To fit in two wrist spinners was difficult. We can fit only one wrist spinner. It’s unfortunate for one to miss out and right now, Kuldeep is a bit ahead”
