Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the primary leg spinners for the Indian cricket team. To say that he has successfully made a name for himself in white-ball cricket would be a sheer understatement. This right-arm leg break bowler hails from Haryana and to date plays for Haryana in domestic cricket.

While he could not show the best of his performances while playing for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL he did so for Royal Challengers Bangalore and now Rajasthan Royals. While taking so many wickets of prominent batsmen from across the world seldom Chahal would have thought he will himself get bowled in the Corona lockdown. How did Dhanashree initially react to his marriage proposal?

The obvious question that comes in is how did they get to meet? Chahal in a recent interview with the Humans of Bombay shared the tale. He told that it was during the lockdown that he got in contact with his now-wife, Dhanashree.

In the 43-minute-long interview, the question of how did it all start in lockdown comes at the very beginning. Chahal narrates the tale by sharing how during the lockdown days he used to stay with his family in their Gurugram house. Be it making TikToks with family or making the Dalgona coffee or playing with his dog the bowler did everything that every individual did in the lockdown phase. Away from his regular routine of playing cricket, the star bowler was keen to do something new and different. That something was to “learn dancing”. That is how he got to know about Dhanashree who used to teach dance online.
