Ashneer Grover Vineeta Singh

As we all know how popular Shark Tank India has become in such a short time and how it has spurred a shift in India’s entrepreneurial environment. The show’s popularity has skyrocketed as it has become a fade everywhere, especially on the internet. While viewing Shark Tank India, we were exposed to many lesser-known entrepreneurs as well as business lingo that some of us were unfamiliar with.

The judges, on the other hand, are still my favourite parts. As judges or Sharks, the show featured seven self-made Indian multi-millionaires who had invested extensively in successful firms. We have never heard of them despite the fact that they are all behind some of the most well-known firms. This is why they received so extensive and immediate notice. But out of all sharks, Ashneer Grover made the most headlines.

Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe, has received a lot of coverage, but not all of it has been favourable. His unique manner on the Indian version of the business reality shows Shark Tank has earned him a household name. According to a report, the ex-Managing Director and Co-Founder of BharatPe had a net worth of Rs 700 crore.

Grover is well-known for his candid and straightforward remarks. He’d praise the pitches he liked, but he’d also tell the contestants when their offerings were lacking. This sparked a flurry of memes, media attention, and scathing criticism.

But even after the show ends, he is still getting making headlines. So we all know that he recently engaged in a fresh feud after being forced to leave his company due to claimed allegations. He sparked several debates by publicly criticising his former company in various ways. While this would be considered a serious topic. Something funnier and cheekier happened recently.

Ashneer said Vineeta Singh was his “hot junior in IIM” and that they had exchanged flirtatious looks while delivering a lecture at a university

At a recent event, he discussed about his co-judges Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, and others. According to Ashneer,

“I knew Anupam from before. I’d pitched him an idea once, and in the month that he took to get back to me, I accepted somebody else’s investment, so I ended up saying no to him.”

He added,

“Vineeta was my junior in IIM; we never spoke but had exchanged flirtatious glances. She was one of those ‘hot juniors’. Aman is a great guy, our ‘auditions’ for the show were held together at my place. Peyush everybody knew from Lenskart, and Namita I met for the first time on the show.”

Ashneer also disclosed that, contrary to popular belief, none of them profited from the show. According to accounts, they made Rs 10 lakh every episode, but he would have been satisfied with even Rs 5 lakh. That was not the case, though.

All they thought, according to the well-known entrepreneur, was that they possessed high-value firms that might help in some manner. The producers really asked them to commit to spending Rs 10 crore apiece, which they all agreed to. They were not compensated for the work, which needed several hours.

Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar, Ghazal Alagh, and Anupam Mittal appeared on the show alongside Ashneer. Their on-screen interaction and one-liners were a tremendous hit with the audience. Rannvijay Singh was the show’s host.
