‘Tere Bhai Ne Paisa Chura Liya’: Ashneer Grover’s Sister And BharatPe CEO Are Fighting On LinkedIn

4 minutes read

The BharatPe scandal looks to be a never-ending drama.

Ashneer Grover, a famous Shark Tank India judge and an ex-CEO of BharatPe, is in a new feud with the current founders of BharatPe, this time for unpaid salary. Yes, and it’s just as hilarious as you imagine. Also, the section about not getting paid is merely a cameo in what looks to be a social media dispute of some sort.

Karan Sarki, a senior employee at BharatPe’s IT department, took to Linkedin to express his complaints and call out the company’s top hierarchy

Here’s how it went down,

“Dear Suhail and Shashvat Sir, we haven’t received our salary for March month yet despite following up so many times on email and visiting the office. All the old admin staff of BharatPe have been terminated by you without giving any reason and their salaries have not been paid. We were with BharatPe ever since the Compamy started and now we are nowhere because of your internal politics.”

He also added,

“We are poor people and have our houses to run, small kids to take care of. We have been spending our own money for company’s petty cash and our reimbursement bills have not been paid since December. All the staff of BharatPe is enjoying office paid trip to Goa and we engraved employees are fighting for their salaries and job. What kind of leaders you are.”

Ashneer Grover left a comment on the post not long after that. He wrote,

“Folks please look into this. Not done – Their salaries have to be paid first before anything.”

Grover’s sister Aashima also left a remark on the post, stating something to the extent of shame on the corporation. She wrote,

“That’s the sad part… That’s it’s a shamelss bunch.”

This is where things started to become serious. Because the CEO of BharatPe emerged from the background and refused to take any prisoners. He replied by writing,

“Behan – tere bhai ne Paisa Chura liya. Very little left to pay salaries.”

It loosely means that your brother has stolen all the money that’s why it is very little left to pay salaries.

Many LinkedIn users thought Sameer’s comment was nasty, so he removed it from the site and clarified the situation. In reply to the post by Sarki, he said,

“Friends – I apologise to have irked many of you. In hindsight, it was out of line. We are already working on past employees full and final being paid out. My comment was a reaction to a particular statement, not the post. But I accept the mistake. I request you to also have patience, and refrain from building a story based on false narrative.”

But users from several websites and LinkedIn didn’t stop criticizing this BharatPe CEO’s behaviour on social media. Even many people indirectly took a dig at him for the company’s situation. On the other hand, many people on social took this dramatic series of events hand to hand and made a new meme fest on social media. Have a look at some of the most amazing reactions:

Meanwhile, Aashima did not stop there, and he responded with multiple posts criticising the company’s senior management, particularly the two remaining co-founders. In one of her replies, she said,

“Hope God gives them good digestive systems to digest the money and power they have snatched from other people.. Be it founders or staff members.”

Grover has already criticised his prior company’s recent performance. Under the leadership of Rajnish Kumar and Suhail Sameer, BharatPe has seen its first quarter of “degrowth” and “maximum financial loss,” according to Grover.
