The director in a lengthy Facebook post, Kashyap openly talked about his struggle in the industry and also claimed that he was made to struggle by the superstar and his family. He wrote that he has suffered for a decade now since the release of Dabangg and is ready to expose the actor. The post went viral on social media and people were scrambling to ask Abhinav’s elder brother who is equally opinionated on what he thought about this revelation his brother had made. Anurag who revealed that many members of the media called him to ask him about the same, but took to Twitter to answer and asked everyone to consider it as his quote.

Anurag Kashyap, in an interview with mid-day said he doesn’t meddle with brother Abhinav and sister Anubhuti business. Anurag said,

“I would happily read a script or give my feedback, but I think both my brother and sister have been very conscious. My brother says that I cast such a strong shadow that one can’t be their own person. So he wanted to do his own thing. It’s the same thing with my sister… she worked as my assistant, but she wouldn’t want me to be a part of her first film as a producer. She’s very talented, in fact, her husband, too, is a very good filmmaker. They want to make their own identity and do things on their own.”

The second film of the Dabangg franchise released in 2012. Salman’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, directed the film. Dabangg 3 hit the screens in 2019. It was helmed by Prabhu Deva.
