Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is progressing quickly, with a special emphasis on strengthening infrastructure for long-term prosperity. Needless to say, the nation’s highway network has impressively demonstrated the government’s dedication to improving connectivity.

At the forefront of this monumental transformation is Nitin Gadkari, a senior minister in the Modi government. The praise for his leadership transcends political boundaries.

Beyond words, Gadkari’s impact is felt in the transportation sector, where he has been instrumental in building roads and waterways. The government’s ambitious objective is reflected in the building of new expressways and all-weather tunnels in the difficult terrain. One of Gadkari’s greatest assets is his receptivity to innovations from around the world. He carefully researches and applies innovative ideas while making adjustments to fit the Indian setting.

His direct engagement and thorough comprehension of the projects have greatly accelerated their completion, removing bureaucratic roadblocks that frequently stand in the way of development. Due to all this, Nitin Gadkari is known to be the best candidate for the post of prime minister after PM Modi. However, not all people, even in his own right-wing circle, thought in the same way. A renowned biologist, Anand Ranganathan, also echoed the same sentiment.

Anand Ranganathan said Nitin Gadkari is worth more than any prime ministerial post

The well-known researcher Anand Ranganathan made a guest appearance on the well-liked YouTuber Raj Shamani’s channel around three months ago. Although the entire podcast was about an hour long, a little clip from the end has become popular on Instagram lately.

In this brief exchange, Shamani asked Ranganathan who he would recommend as the next prime minister of India. With promptitude, Ranganathan stated that Yogi Adityanath, Amit Shah, and Narendra Modi were his top three choices.

However, when asked about Nitin Gadkari’s potential candidacy, Ranganathan humorously remarked,

“He’s not human, he’s alien.”

Soon, he added,

“The kind of things he has done, it’s not humanly possible.”

Drawing an analogy to a classroom setting, Ranganathan illustrated that the most hardworking student often receives the most assignments. In this regard, he stated that he was reluctant to give Gadkari further duties as prime minister. He pointed out that Gadkari had already made significant contributions to the development and transformation of India.

Ranganathan emphasized how quickly Gadkari, as Minister of Road Transport and Roadways, had built infrastructure and roadways, he added,

“The number of highways we have made in 70 years, half of them this fellow has made in 5 years. The number of roads, the infrastructure, what is he doing? Why don’t we have 10 Gadkaris?”

In closing, he expressed his wish that more people would be like Gadkari, highlighting the necessity of orderly processes and slow growth. Ranganathan repeated this idea, noting that even with 10 Gadkaris, they shouldn’t be overburdened with labor because systemic improvements take time and self-control.

In recent news, Nitin Gadkari revealed intentions to implement satellite-based tolling on India’s major roads. According to information revealed at a Rajya Sabha meeting, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) plans to put this cutting-edge tolling system into place by March 2024.
