Anand Mahindra Reply To Harsh Goenka

The most important relationship in a child’s life is with their parent. Both parents and their children have shared a close bond with each other and it has not only happened today, it is happening since early eras. A solid parent-child relationship serves as the cornerstone for all subsequent relationships that children form as they mature.

For highlighting the importance of the same bond, Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Group, recently posted a video clip on Twitter and many others, including businessman Anand Mahindra, found it to be true.

The video shared by Harsh Goenka reiterates the point by comparing parents to an eraser and children to a pencil by depicting that the parents are always there to correct their children’s errors when they do something wrong same as an eraser erases the wrongdoings of pencils.

Before the clip finishes, the message of the video was delivered saying,

“Take care of your parents, treat them with kindness and most importantly, love them.”

In the two minutes and twenty-second film, parents were compared to erasers and kids to pencils. The clip starts off with the pencil apologizing and the eraser requesting “for what?”

Then the pencil or a kid said,

“I’m sorry because you get hurt because of me. Whenever I make a mistake, you’re always there to erase it. But as you make my mistake vanish away, you lose a part of yourself and get smaller each time.”

In reply to this, the eraser or the parent said,

“That’s true, but I don’t mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you each time you did something wrong. Even though one day I know, I’ll be gone, I’m happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I’ll not be happy if I see you sad.”

In response to the video, Mr. Mahindra said that this video spoke to him and other parents who are in their older ages

Quoting Goenka’s tweet, he tweeted,

“A very poignant message that naturally resonates with us elderly parents. But it also occurred to me, Harsh, that often, many children in the world have to spend much of their lives erasing the mistakes & missteps of their parents!”

At the time of writing this article, over 6500 people have liked Mr. Mahindra’s remark and over 1100 others have commented on it.

One commenter even said that the clip didn’t simply apply to parent-child relationships but to everything. He wrote,

Being on social media is one of today’s frequently adopted habits between young ages but there are some elderly people like Anand Mahindra who always love to express themselves on social media platforms. We all know that he loves to use social media to share his views on different matters, ranging from social to political and that’s the main reason people love him and his responses on social media so much.
