In a recent interview with Peepingmoon, actor Abhishek Bachchan has issued a strong and unequivocal response, calling the circulating rumors “malicious” and “completely false.”
Addressing the rumors, Abhishek said,
I do not know about these stories… I do not feel that there is a need to address this.
He pointed out that being a public figure often invites baseless conjecture. Abhishek said,
If you are a celebrity, people want to conjecture about everything… Any rubbish that they have written is completely false, not based on any fact whatsoever, malicious, and incorrect.
Reflecting on how he and Aishwarya trusted each other, he added,
They might have been doing this before we got married… First, they are deciding when we are getting married. Then they are deciding when we are getting divorced. This is all rubbish. She knows my truth, and I know her truth… We go back to a healthy and happy family, which is most important.

I think that’s one of the benefits of growing up in the film industry and having a wife who is in the film industry… In all humility and with all respect to your fraternity, I think the media tends to get it wrong a lot of the time… I have been brought up to believe that the media is the conscience of the nation… When I pick up the newspaper, I have to believe what they have written…
He went on to emphasize the responsibility journalists hold, saying,

In the fast pace of today’s world, I understand the pressure to break news first… But if that is one compromise when you are ratifying the news, then what do you really stand for?
Calling for accountability, Abhishek Bachchan reminded reporters that they are “human beings talking about human beings.” He concluded with a firm warning:
As far as I am concerned, you can say as you will… But if you are going to talk about my family, you will have to deal with me… because that’s off-limits. I will not tolerate any falsehood or manufactured rubbish about my family and me.

When asked how their daughter Aaradhya responds to ongoing speculation, Abhishek said,
I don’t think she does that… I don’t think that is what interests her, and she won’t believe anything that she reads. Her mother has taught her not to believe everything that she reads.
He added that honesty remains central to their parenting, saying,

Like my parents were with me, we are completely honest with the family… So we are never in a position where anyone needs to question anybody.
