Aakash Chopra Hits Back At The Troll Who Called Him A 'Failed Cricketer'

There was a time when people took Aakash Chopra’s name with respect in domestic cricket in India because he was one tough batsman who rightfully belongs to the old school of cricket, where batting is focused only on patience.

Aakash was a technically sound batsman with a wonderful temperament. To the detriment of the bowlers, Chopra could concentrate unwaveringly for extended periods of time while batting. No matter how rarely he played international cricket, his stability and temperament were always apparent.

For those who closely saw him, it would be difficult to imagine that he didn’t finish his international career as one of the nation’s top openers, but that is exactly what happened.

But it doesn’t mean that he is finished!

Instead, Aakash Chopra has established himself as a game analyst since his retirement. As a result of his sharp knowledge of the game and unwavering opinions on Indian cricket, he became one of the most well-liked cricket analysts and commentators in India.

If you are a frequent cricket watcher, you must have heard his one-liners in between the games from the commentary box. His delivery of commentary sometimes fits so well that it goes viral on social media platforms.

However, even after giving his best, Aakash has to deal with online trolls about his profession again and again. People often call his commentary cringe-worthy, and sometimes, some people even body-shame him.

Nevertheless, we all know that he is not someone who can be dissed easily. Even if he ignores most of the trolling, that doesn’t mean he will always do the same. And that’s exactly what he had done recently when one Twitter user challenged him to “explain” his career and called him a “failed cricketer.”

With his amazing word skills, Aakash Chopra hits back at the troll so hard that if he was a ball, it would be a sixer out of the field.

It all started when Aakash Chopra shared a small video about his analysis of the 2nd ODI between India and South Africa. The video looks so good and even Aakash’s analysis sounds too humourous and knowledgeable at the same time. But some trolls, nevertheless, are born of just criticism.

When many genuine people were giving their critical opinions on both the match and Aakash’s analysis, one Twitter user asked him to ‘explain’ his career while also calling him a “failed cricketer.” Below his tweet, he commented, along with the photo of Aakash’s cricket credentials,

“Please explain your career too. What is this? How can you talk about cricket? When you are a failed cricketer.”

However, Chopra maintained his professionalism in the midst of facing this baseless criticism on social media and responded to the fan in a mouth-shutting manner. Quoting his comment, he tweeted,

“I googled you…found no career in cricket or otherwise. Going by your logic, how can you talk about me?? When you a ________ person in life? On a serious note : get a life, my friend Love you”

The conversation didn’t stop there. The Twitter user again retaliated and went on to compare Aakash’s career with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma‘s. Nevertheless, Aakash again gives him a classic reply. Have a look at their extended conversation:
