A recent post circulating on X (formerly Twitter) has triggered widespread debate online after a customer allegedly found an inappropriate handwritten note inside a food order. The complaint, shared by user @Jitu8987, claims that a female friend who ordered food from Zomato received a troubling message written on a small piece of paper placed inside the delivery packet from KFC.
According to the viral post, the woman had ordered food through the delivery platform and discovered the note after opening the package
The tweet tagged both KFC India and Zomato, asking them to address the situation and explain how such a message could end up inside a customer’s order.

The post quickly began circulating across social media, with many users expressing concern over customer safety and professionalism in food delivery services.
The image shared with the post shows a small handwritten note that reads:
“Dear Sir/Ma’am
Please give me 5** rating :)”
The tweet says,
Hey @KFC_India @zomato @zomatocare read it carefully a female friend of mine ordered KFC on Zomato and she got it and they wrote 5 stars but it looks like s#x and they knew it… What is this behaviour? She was very scared at that time.

However, the way the word “stars” appears to be written has raised eyebrows online. Several social media users claimed that the writing could easily be misread as something inappropriate, sparking accusations that the message may have been intentionally written in a suggestive way.
The note also contains a phone number written at the bottom, which further intensified reactions from viewers online. Many users questioned why any contact number would be included in a delivery package, especially when the order was placed through a digital platform.

The message seemed unacceptable, especially considering that it was sent to a female customer. However, it might also be the case that the note might simply be a poorly written request asking for a five-star rating, something restaurant staff sometimes include to encourage positive feedback on delivery platforms.

But we believe the situation highlights the need for stricter monitoring of customer interactions within the food delivery ecosystem.
The situation raises questions about the delivery protocol
The incident also sparks broader discussions about how restaurants and delivery platforms should manage customer orders and internal staff conduct. Any handwritten messages inside packages could potentially make customers uncomfortable.
Food delivery companies like Zomato typically encourage feedback through their in-app rating systems rather than through personal requests. As a result, the presence of such a note has left users wondering whether it was written by a restaurant staff member or someone else involved in the order handling process.

Zomato Care responded to the tweet
Zomato took to X, and responded by saying,
Hey there, please help us with your order ID via DM so that we can look into this for you.

While the true intent behind the note remains unclear, the incident serves as a reminder of how even a small gesture inside a delivery package can quickly escalate into a major social media controversy.
