Swara Bhasker Justice for SSR

Actress Swara Bhaskar is one of the well-known figures from B-town. As much as the 34-year-old actress is known for her work she is better known for having controversial opinions. Recently, she opened up and shared her views on the ‘Justice for SSR’ campaign. For her, the ‘Justice for SSR’ campaign is incomprehensible and has turned out to be more of a cult. Read on to know about what she thinks in greater detail.

‘Justice for SSR’ campaign is well-thought-out and agenda-driven says Swara Bhaskar

‘Justice for SSR’ campaign began after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. When he died in June 2020, the entire nation was in utter shock. While some people speculate it to be a case of suicide, others claimed that the actor was murdered. With this, the Justice for SSR hashtags began to flood social media platforms like Twitter. What actress Swara Bhaskar has to say over the campaign is worth noting. In an interview with Frontline, the actress said and we quote,

“It’s a very well-thought-out, organized campaign. It is purely agenda-driven and once you understand what that agenda is and who is funding it, you get the whole picture. And then it becomes hard to see it as an organic phenomenon ever again. I still don’t fully understand the “Justice for SSR” thing, to be honest. It became a cult or something very close to it.”

I told my colleagues in the industry that they were making a big mistake by staying silent, said Swara

The death of talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput created a void amongst his fans. However, with his death, several Bollywood personalities were brutally trolled on social media. Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, and especially Rhea Chakraborty were to name a few. Speaking about the same, Swara said that she advised her friends from the industry to give a strong reply to all the allegations made against them.

“This is what happens in the absence of a strong counter-narrative. I told my colleagues in the industry that they were making a big mistake by staying silent. They should have countered the lies being told about them by the SSR handles. Their silence was read as confirmation of these wild allegations”

Fans and family of Sushant have not yet healed from the demise of their beloved

Nepotism is indeed a part of Bollywood. Earlier this month, the sister of Sushant Singh Rajput, Meetu took a hidden dig at Bollywood. She said that ‘Sushant’s Brahmastra’ is capable of destroying Bollywood. Meetu Singh wrote on her Instagram,

“Sushant’s Brahmastra is enough to destroy this Bollywood. Bollywood has always wanted to dictate the public, never stopping to show mutual respect n humility. How can we let people like this be the face of our country which is so rich in moral values? Their sorry attempt of winning d public’s love wid pretentiousness has failed. Quality n Moral values r the only thing that’ll win admiration n respect”
