It has been a more than a week now to tragic demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s and the country is still reeling with the shock. From his family to his fans, everyone is deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. His death has led to several speculations and media tabloids are busy in finding out different angels to incident.

While this still feels like a bad dream everyone wishes to break out from, the reality continues to haunt us like never before. Post his untimely demise, it was reportedly said that Sushant was suffering from depression and was disturbed due to the lockdown situation. Sushant was going to begin work on director Rumi Jafry’s next film along with rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty in April. But due to lockdown, the film was pushed. However, he was supposed to begin work on it as soon as the situation was further relaxed.

Among many, one of the reasons being discussed on social media is that Sushant was going through a troubled time financially. However, a close friend of Sushant has rubbished this rumor.

Recently, a close friend of Sushant who also happens to be an insider in the Bollywood industry, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla revealed that Sushant wasn’t going through any financial problem and wasn’t out of work. In fact, he revealed that Sushant had a lot of movies lined up till mid-next year. He also revealed that Sushant was charging 8 crores per project. The insider said,

“Sushant wasn’t going through a financial trouble as is being discussed. He had a few films lined up and a few more in discussion. From what I know, his dates were all booked till mid-next year. If he signed the other two films, he would have had five projects by 2022. He was also charging to the tune of Rs 8 crore per project.”

The source didn’t wanted his name to get public and stay anonymous, he further added,

“There were two producers who were planning to meet him later this month. Since he wasn’t in touch with them, they had spoken to one of his close buddies and even shared how they would love to pay him to the tune of Rs 11 crore for their film, a riveting drama.”

After the sad news, several reports started to float that Sushant was already in talks for two projects with director Anand Gandhi – a film and a web series and had also signed Rumi Jaffrey’s next – a romcom with Rhea Chakraborty.
