You spend the majority of your developmental years as a student. As a result, traits, preferences, dislikes, and concepts that we acquire in school frequently stick with us for a long time.

For instance, while I was in school, I believed that I was unfit for anything and that people like me were a burden to the rest of the world because my teachers and fellow classmates always told me that I am so disillusioned and not good at anything. Sadly, some educators believe that by treating pupils poorly, they are encouraging them to put in more effort. Abuse and disrespectful behaviour shouldn’t be seen as motivators. Motivation comes from inspiration and generosity.

Many of you who are reading this have probably experienced unpleasant school-related experiences. But because it just disturbs our mental tranquillity, many of us chose not to speak up. A lady posted a screenshot of a conversation she had with her tutor, who reportedly warned her she “wouldn’t make it,” on Twitter. She told the teacher that she did well in her Class 12 board examinations and urged her to be kind to other kids who were in need of advice.
