The middle-order batter and the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Shreyas Iyer is currently in good form in the ongoing IPL 2024. His team has not faced defeat in the league yet and things are going great for Iyer. Shreyas Iyer had to go through a rough patch in the past, before IPL, regarding his injury and intention to play domestic cricket. But all seems to be fine now. Shreyas Iyer recently appeared on the The Great Indian Kapil Show along with Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma.
In the show, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas had to answer several questions which became quite interesting. Rohit Sharma discussed several incidents from the Indian team dressing room and their on-field tricks. Shreyas faced some questions about his injury and his absence from the domestic circuit. Iyer returned to competitive cricket recently.

On The Kapil Sharma show, Shreyas was asked if he notices young girls, who are often seen with “Shreyas Marry Me!” posters
On the show, which went live on Saturday, April 6 on the OTT platform Netflix, the comedian-cum-actor, Kapil Sharma said that whenever Shreyas Iyer hits a boundary, the cameraman focuses on girls who have posters of ‘Shreyas Marry Me!’. Kapil added that Shreyas is also a bachelor.
The host questioned Iyer whether he looks at the camera after his innings when the cameraman focuses on young girls with “Shreyas Marry Me!” posters.
Responding to this, the KKR captain made a cheeky confession.
Iyer confessed that he noticed a beautiful girl in the stands and hoped to get a message from her
The KKR captain recalled an incident from his first IPL season. He revealed that a very beautiful girl caught his eye years ago and that he waited for her message on Facebook. Iyer replied to Kapil,

“During my first year in the IPL, I noticed a very beautiful girl sitting in the stands and I waved hello to her. This happened many years ago. At that time Facebook was very popular. I was hoping to get a message and kept checking. That is the only incident that happened to me”
Shreyas also revealed that Rohit has been his idol
When the 29-year-old Indian cricketer was asked about his idol. Iyer revealed it was Rohit Sharma. He further explained that he did not choose Rohit because he was sitting next to him, and said,
“Joke nahi kar raha hoon ya aise he butter up nahi kar raha hoon. But, Rohit bhai chote se idol rahe hai kyuki vo Mumbai se hai and mein bhi waha se hi hoon. Unko dekhte hue mai grow hua hoon.”
This left everyone present on the show in splits, Rohit Sharma further made a hilarious remark that the current young cricketers often talk bad things about him behind his back in the dressing room. Rohit said,
“Dressing room mein bahut gaaliya dete hai. Ye saamne abhi log hai, camera hai. Aajkal ke youngsters dangerous hai bahut”
