Lalit Modi shocked everyone when he revealed in one of his tweets on Thursday that he is dating former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen. This news took no time to get viral and netizens started responding to it with mixed reactions. While some supported their relationship some criticized the couple and trolled Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi for dating each other.
Lalit Modi left no stones unturned and went all the way to declare his love for the Aarya actress. Lalit updated his Instagram bio which reads, “Founder @iplt20 🇮🇳INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE – finally starting a new life with my partner in crime. My love @sushmitasen47.” He also changed his display picture with a selfie with his beau.

Lalit tweeted pictures of himself with Sushmita from their vacation together and called Sushmita his ‘better half.’ Soon after he also clarified that they are not yet married and are in the dating phase.

Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl’s relationship
Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl began dating in 2018. They started dating after he sent her a direct message on Instagram, which was opened by the actor accidentally. Sushmita Sen’s love affair with Rohman Shawl ended last year. Their relationship was not hidden from the media and the model also had a close bonding with her daughters, Alisah Sen and Renee Sen as they were often seen together. After the breakup, they maintain a cordial relationship and continue to be friends.
According to reports, Lalit had ‘liked’ the Instagram post of Sushmita in which she announced her break-up with Rohman in December 2021.

Just when everyone was looking for Sushmita Sen’s ex Rohman Shawl’s reaction, only hours after the tweet caught the public eye Rohman reacted to Lalit Modi’s tweet.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rohman reacted to the news of Lalit and Sushmita dating, he said,

“Let’s be happy for them na. Love is beautiful. All I know is if she has chosen someone, he is worth it!”
It seems that Rohman is happy for them and wants everyone to wish them well.
Lalit Modi’s past relationships
Lalit was married to Minal Sagrani previously who passed away due to cancer in 2018. Lalit and Minal got married back in October 1991 and have a son Ruchir and a daughter Aliya together. Modi reportedly also has a stepdaughter from Minal’s first marriage, Karima Sagrani.
