The Indian cricket team has finally secured its place in the finale of the Asia Cup. Interestingly, the men in blue defeated Sri Lanka in order to secure its place in the Asia Cup and it is Sri Lanka whom they are soon to face in the finale. Shubman Gill had a comparatively slower start in the Asia Cup however in the last match he successfully hit a magnificent century against Bangladesh in the final Super 4.

Post the completion of the match against Bangladesh Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were engaged in a brief discussion with one another. Shubman’s century against Bangladesh went in vain but hopes are still alive with the finale
Despite Shubman’s outstanding innings of 121 from 133 balls, India suffered a heart-wrenching 6-run loss to Bangladesh on Friday. Nonetheless, hopes are still alive since India is facing Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday at the R Premadasa Stadium.
Skipper Rohit Sharma was seen praising Shubman’s magnificent century. He said,
“Gill’s hundred was brilliant. He backs his game, he knows exactly how he wants to play. Pretty clear on what he wants to do for the team. Look at his form over the last year. Pretty solid against the new ball. Works really hard, there’s no optional practice for Gill.”
