Rohit Sharma Asks Babar Azam To Get Married, Check His Surprising Reply

3 minutes read

Once upon a time, the excitement for India vs. Pakistan was so great that it crippled the two nations. It sparked discussions on war, warfare, judgement day, and you could lose to anybody but not against your archrival and how merely defeating the “enemy” was comparable to winning the World Cup for us.

In the days before satellite television, you could hear ex-players slamming each other, see cross-border TV shows with players and fans giving their opinions, and watch TV distributors raise channel fees knowing well that subscribers would do whatever to pay for the service.

Even while the geopolitical environment would preclude the two sides from playing bilaterally and inspire parallels to a period of war, conditions are very different now.  Some admirers said that it is far friendlier than in previous days.

This was evident from the recently held candid chats between Indian and Pakistani players and among them, Rohit Sharma’s chat with Babar Azam is quite hilarious.

The captains of the Indian and Pakistani national teams, Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam sat down for a candid conversation during the two teams’ training session in Dubai prior to their highly anticipated Asia Cup match, which will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, August 28.

The clip of this conversation has gone viral on social media sites and lots of people are talking about it. So, let’s find out what Rohit Sharma said to Babar Azam that he started blushing in between the conversation:

Rohit Sharma asks Babar Azam to get married

There have been many touching exchanges between players and supporters of the two teams in the lead-up to their highly anticipated match. Virat Kohli, the star batsman for India, and Babar were seen introducing themselves in a video that went popular on social media earlier in the week.

Later, it was discovered that India’s star players Shaheen Afridi and several others had extensive conversations.

Following the conclusion of training on Friday (August 27), Rohit and Babar engaged in conversation, which the Pakistan Cricket Board’s official social media account shared.

The two teams’ match on Sunday will be the first between two teams since the T20 World Cup in 2021. The Babar-led team defeated India by 10 wickets in the global T20 tournament last year at Dubai International Cricket Stadium to claim their first-ever triumph against India in a T20 or 50-over World Cup match.

India will play Pakistan for the first time under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. After Virat Kohli’s departure following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup in 2021, Rohit was named the T20I captain.

Later, he was also granted control over the Test and ODI teams. India, who won both the 2016 and 2018 competitions, will be attempting to retain their championship.

The jingoistic connotations are no longer there at ground zero, but this does not mean that there is no longer any enthusiasm or energy. The infatuation with the match is still surreal.
