The mix-up between the two players not only ended Sarfaraz’s promising knock but also drew a frustrated reaction from Indian skipper Rohit Sharma in the dressing room. In the post-match press conference, Sarfaraz Khan addressed the incident with sportsmanship, stating that such occurrences are common in cricket. He revealed that Ravindra Jadeja had personally acknowledged the miscommunication, to which Sarfaraz responded with understanding, affirming that such moments are inherent in the game. He said,
“Thoda sa miscommunication ho gaya tha… (there was a bit of a micommunication).”

Subsequently, Ravindra Jadeja took to Instagram after the match to extend his apology to Sarfaraz Khan. Expressing remorse for the mix-up, Jadeja admitted to making the wrong call and praised Sarfaraz for his performance. This gesture further exemplified the sportsmanship and camaraderie within the team, highlighting the mutual respect between the players despite the on-field challenges.

India’s performance in the first day of the third Test against England
On day one of the third test against England, India chose to bat after winning the toss in Rajkot but faced early setbacks, losing three wickets with just 33 runs on the board. However, captain Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja steadied the innings with an impressive 204-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
