On April 5th, Raveena Tandon was conferred with the fourth highest civilian award, Padma Shri, by President Droupadi Murmu, during a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. It was awarded as a recognition of her immense contribution to Indian cinema and her philanthropic work.

Raveena opens up about receiving Padma Shri honour

Prior to this incident, Raveena was spotted talking to the paparazzi, promising the photographers a party soon. The actress told the media that she got emotional when they said they were happy about her receiving the Padma Shri honor. One of the media persons praised her gajra, and she said that she loves gajra and grabs one whenever she gets the chance.

Recently, the actor has opened up about her feelings after receiving the prestigious award and what it means to her.

The veteran actress said,

 “It was definitely was an emotional moment for me because it was something that my father had always dreamt and thought that it is going to be a proud moment (for him) whenever I get the Padma Shri honour”

She further added,

“I did get the honour, but unfortunately, he is not here to see it. So, getting the honour was mixed emotions for me. It came with a bit of happiness and a bit of more happiness. More happiness was when I was thinking about him and saying that at least, I fulfilled my dad’s dream”

Man pushes Raveena Tandon’s daughter

Raveena Tandon was seen at the airport as she returned from Delhi after receiving her Padma Shri award on Wednesday. Rasha Thadani, her daughter had also accompanied Raveena on the trip and both of them were spotted at the Mumbai airport in the recent videos and photos shared by paparazzi and fans.

In a video recently shared by a paparazzi on Instagram, a fan is seen pushing her daughter while trying to seek a selfie with the veteran actress. While Raveena walked behind talking to the media, Rasha walked ahead of her. As they approached their car, Raveena realized that a man was pushing Rasha aside for a selfie.

Raveena calmly told him,

“Careful. Aap dhakka mat dijiye bhaisaab. Baccho ko dhakka mat dijiye”
