Ratan Tata Dogs

When we imagine wealthy people, we see them leaving their luxurious establishments in suits and hopping into posh vehicles with a chauffeur. High-end firms are accountable for everything, including their automobiles and clothing. These individuals are extremely powerful, and their relationships with others frequently reflect this.

However, Ratan Tata is unique!

It is unquestionable that Ratan Tata is one of the most inspirational and prominent businessmen alive today. The industrialist and philanthropist, 84, has always led by example and continues to contribute to improving the world.

That’s why Prince Charles intended to present billionaire Ratan Tata with a lifetime achievement award for philanthropy at Buckingham Palace on February 6, 2018. Tata, however, was unable to attend the celebration. To his surprise, Ratan Tata’s dog was the reason behind this.

Ratan Tata was unable to receive an award from Prince Charles because his dog was not well

As we all know, it goes without saying that he has also consistently advocated for animal rights and shown his affection for our furry companions. In an interview on a YouTube video, columnist Suhel Seth recounted the occurrence, praised the well-respected businessman, and discussed the reason he missed such a significant event.

Seth recalled that he arrived in London on the second or third of February to attend the event, saying,

“Everything was set. It (the award ceremony) was under the auspice of the British Asian Trust.”

After being alarmed to see 11 missed calls from Mr. Tata after landing, he then hurriedly contacted the former Tata chairman as soon as he picked up his baggage from the airport. When his call connected with Mr. Tata, he recalled Tata telling him that one of his dogs, Tango and Tito, had become seriously ill.

“Tango and Tito, his dogs, one of them had fallen terribly ill.”

He further informed Suhel, saying,

“I can’t leave him and come.”

Bewildered, Seth attempted to convince the businessman to attend the event by referencing Prince Charles, but Mr. Tata didn’t change his mind. For his own prize, he did not show up. After learning why he couldn’t attend the event, he then referred back to what Prince Charles had stated about Tata. He quoted Prince Charles as saying,

“That’s a man. That’s the man Ratan is.”

He further added,

“That’s why the house of Tata is what it is. That’s why it’s on stable course.”

Unfortunately, he lost his pet, Tito, a few years ago

But his love for dogs didn’t end here. Currently, “Goa,” a dog, is one of his closest companions. He takes the elevator with the dog to work every morning and sits with it during all of his meetings. Apart from this, several stray animals are also housed inside the Bombay House headquarters of Tata Sons and are taken care of by the organisation.

Not only this, but Ratan Tata also met his assistant, Shantanu Naidu, because they both adore dogs

The passing of a stray dog in a vehicle accident in Mumbai had a significant impact on Shantanu Naidu. He came to understand that the majority of incidents occurred when it was dark and the motorist couldn’t see the dog. Ratan Tata supported his initiative, “Moto Paws,” and employed Naidu as an assistant after being moved by his vision and desire to help dogs.

Ratan Tata defies the stereotype of a successful businessman who abuses his resources to gratify his ego and consolidate his position. He is a kind man who has dedicated his life to helping others and has made a special effort to support people with limited means.
