From waiting for over 200 minutes for a 45-minute journey to getting picked up by a Chief Growth Officer of a fintech firm. In yet another ‘peak Bengaluru moment’, an X user named Shruti recently shared one incident that involved her Rapido driver.

She mentioned that her Rapido driver doubles as a corporate manager in one of the major companies in the city
Bengaluru residents often struggle due to unpredictable traffic and changing autorickshaw fares, leading to delays and missed appointments. Amidst these everyday challenges, a Twitter user, Shruti found out that her Rapido driver was trying to fix the situation.
The tweet where she posted about her Rapido driver went viral and received several responses from people, including Rapido itself
X user Shruti wrote on the microblogging platform,
“In my peak Bangalore moment today, the Rapido guy turned out to be a corporate manager in one of the big companies, who likes to help people reach their destination in reasonable amounts”

After Shruti’s tweet got noticed online, the bike taxi aggregator, Rapido also reacted to it. The company wrote,

It’s absurd though that ride-sharing via cars is not allowed+possible in Bangalore. During peak commute times, most cars have a single occupant and I’m sure most of them would be willing to share a seat, even for free (I being one of them)
