Nayanthara Bashes Dhanush For Suing Her Of Rs. 10 Crore, Gives A Befitting Response

South popular actress Nayanthara called out the South star, director, and producer, Dhanush for suing her for Rs. 10 crore. She took to her Instagram and posted a three-page note bashing Dhanush. Dhanush is the producer of the film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan which featured Nayanthara. It is being reported that he refused to sign the no-objection certificate required for them to use the film’s material in their upcoming Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale.

Nayanthara accused Dhanush of delaying the release of her documentary

Nayanthara bashed Dhanush for causing a delay in the documentary’s release. She shared that even after removing the film’s material from her documentary, Dhanush and his production company sued them for using a three-second behind-the-scenes clip.

Further, Nayanthara expressed that a well-established actor like Dhanush, whose father and brother are in such a strong position in the industry, should understand the struggles actors like her with no links in the industry face. She further added that she is a self-made woman who has fought for survival in the industry. She said that Dhanush should be thoughtful of the struggle she had to face to make it big in the industry.

Taking to Instagram, Nayanthara called Dhanush dishonorable for sending her a legal notice suing her for Rs. 10 crore

Nayanthara said that the delay not only affects her but also the people involved in making the documentary. She shares that the two-year delay due to Dhanush’s refusal to sign the permit has affected her partner and those who put in the effort and time to make the documentary as well. Nayanthara added that because of Dhanush’s refusal, she has had to settle for an edited version of her documentary. She shared:

“The vengeance that you have been festering against the film, my partner and I, doesn’t just affect us but the people who have given their effort and time towards this project. This Netflix Documentary about me, my life, my love and marriage includes clips of many of my industry well-wishers who have graciously contributed and memories from multiple films, but sadly does not include the most special and important film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. After two long years of battling it out with you for an NOC and waiting for your approval for our Netflix documentary release, we finally decided to give up, re-edit and settle for the current version since you declined to permit the usage of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan songs or visual cuts, even the photographs to say the least despite multiple requests.”

Nayanthara questions Dhanush’s intentions for the refusal

Nayanthara continues the post by saying that it would be understandable if Dhanush’s denial was because of business and monetary compulsions. However, she feels that Dhanush’s refusal is out of spite.

She added that Dhanush has intentionally remained indecisive for such a long time. She was shocked that he sent her a legal notice after the release of her documentary’s trailer, suing her for using a three-second clip.

The actress further wrote:

“This is an all time low from you and speaks so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans, but clearly, you do not practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner. Does a Producer become an Emperor controlling the lives, freedom and liberty of all the persons in the set? Any deviation from the Emperor’s dictum attracts legal ramifications?”

In the third and last slide of her post, she added that she prays that Dhanush can find some peace with his inner self. She also wrote that the world is a big place and is meant for everyone, so a person with no connections can also be established in the industry.

Nayanthara added that God is watching and Dhanush has fabricated a fake story. She said that she would like to introduce Dhanush to the German word ‘schadenfreude’ hoping that he doesn’t experience that emotion with them or anyone anymore.

Many celebrities from the film industry rallied behind Nayanthara by liking her viral Instagram post addressing Dhanush, expressing their support for her stance. Prominent figures such as Dia Mirza, Ekta Kapoor, Shilpa Rao, Shruti Haasan, Uorfi Javed, Anupama Parameswaran, Gouri G Kishan, Riya Shibu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Nazriya Nazim, along with many other women from the industry, showed their approval by giving a thumbs up to her post.
