The lockdown imposed to curb the health crisis has also triggered an unemployment crisis.

Go on any social media platforms and you will see these Bollywood celebs posting pictures of them spending quality time without even taking the precautions or wearing a mask. While the Bollywood celebs are garnering likes and love from their fans on their posts, there are many who feel that celebrities posting pictures of themselves holidaying in the Maldives amid the Covid-19 pandemic is showing they are privileged.
In a recent interview with Spotboye, Nawazuddin Siddiqui questions the lack of empathy among these Bollywood celebrities. He said,
“In logon ne, Maldives ko tamasaha bana rakha hai. I don’t know what their arrangement is with the tourism industry. But for the sake of humanity, please keep these vacations to yourself. There is suffering everywhere. The cases of COVID are multiplying. Have a heart. Please don’t taunt those who are suffering.”
Recently some of the popular B-town stars like Disha Patani, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Jhanvi Kapoor and Tiger Shroff among others headed to the Maldives in a bid to escape the restrictions imposed in Maharashtra to curb the COVID-19 second wave.

Showing his anger at these celebrities Nawaz further said:
“These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho . Kuch Toh Sharm Karo.”
When asked if he has any plans of going off to the Maldives too for vacation, Nawazuddin was quick to dismiss the idea.
“No way. I am in my home town Budhana with my family. That’s my Maldives,” concluded the actor.”
