In his first interview with Hindustan Times after tying the knot, actor Naveen Kasturia opened up about his beautiful journey with his wife, Shubhanjali Sharma. Sharing their love story, Naveen revealed that they first met through a mutual friend in Pune during a casual get-together.

Interestingly both were engineers and thus they shared common interests. It is safe to say that easy camaraderie sparked a connection that eventually blossomed into love. Naveen further shared that they stayed in touch after their initial meeting, and over time, their bond grew stronger. After dating for a little less than two years, they decided to take the leap and commit to a lifetime together.

“We met through a mutual friend in Pune. She and I are both engineers and it was like a get together of sorts where we met. Then we stayed in touch, and it eventually turned into love. We dated for a litlle less than two years before getting married.”

Naveen shares how his and Shubhanjali’s parents played a pivotal role in their marriage

Naveen Kasturia revealed that marriage was never a primary focus for him and Shubhanjali Sharma, but their parents played a pivotal role in bringing it to reality. He shared that the idea of tying the knot took shape when Shubhanjali’s father met his parents.

“We never thought about marriage primarily, but I think our parents played a big part in that. When Shubhanjali’s father met my parents, that’s when the discussion started. Our parents wanted us to get married, they asked us, and we both said yes.”

Interestingly, Naveen added that their love story didn’t feature a traditional proposal. Instead, their journey to marriage was a natural progression.

Talking about his wife, Shubhanjali Sharma, actor Naveen Kasturia couldn’t hide his admiration and affection. In the interview, he shared how he has never met anyone like her. Sharing how she brings a sense of calm and peace he mentioned that she is his best friend.

“I don’t think I’ve met anyone like her. I feel very easy and calm with her. I am not very good with words, but with her I just feel very peaceful. She is my best friend, and I think that’s the most important part in a relationship.”

What makes Shubhanjali stand out, according to Naveen, is her ability to see the good in everyone. He shared how lucky he feels.

“She looks for the good in everyone. I find her very cool and also very hot. I think I’ve been lucky. Mujhe nahi pata kaise mil gayi mujhe (I don’t know how did I get her).”

He also credited her for making him mentally stronger, saying,

“I feel stronger now. Main bahut darpok kisam ka aadmi hun (I am a very scared kind of person). I get intimidated by a lot of things in life, as our field is so scary. But ever since she has come into my life, I feel mentally much stronger.”

Reflecting on their big day, he described it as an unforgettable and overwhelming event.

“It was very cool. We’re still not out of it in our heads; we are still there. It was such an overwhelming experience.”

The couple chose to keep their wedding intimate, celebrating with close family and friends.

“I wanted to keep it intimate and there was only family and friends. We were about 65 people who took a flight from Delhi as I have a huge family. All of them were so happy.”

Naveen shares a chuckle-worthy moment where after putting up the wedding pictures his wife began receiving thousands of follow requests

Naveen Kasturia recalled a humorous twist to his wedding announcement, revealing that he initially planned to share the news a few days later. However, his friends beat him to it by posting pictures on social media while he was flying from Udaipur to Delhi.

“As soon as we got down from the flight, a friend suggested I better announce it myself.”

Though he was waiting for professional photos, Naveen decided to use the ones he already had, making the announcement official. What followed was a social media frenzy, especially for his wife, Shubhanjali Sharma. Naveen chuckled as he revealed how Shubhanjali’s Instagram exploded with over 1,000 follow requests almost instantly.

“Now I’m teasing her that she’s too famous, everybody knows her.”

He then went on the share how his wife is also finding it all funny,

“We haven’t yet sit down to speak about it, but she is finding it funny that Shubhanjali Sharma is everywhere.”

On the flip side, the wedding was attended by close family and friends, including actors Amol Parashar, Suhail Nayyar, Sharib Hashmi, and Sunny Hinduja. Naveen took to Instagram and shared his wedding photos with a cute caption that read,
