The Reason Why Namita Thapar Walked Out Of Shark Tank India 2 After A Fight With Anupam Mittal

The second season of Shark Tank India has been doing well and the fans are all hyped up and excited about the show. This season has also gained tremendous popularity with new interesting and out-of-the-box pitches from diverse fields. The pitches range from grooming to medical to tech.

The show is not only making headlines for its contestants but also for the judges. This time it garnered attention for a clash between the sharks, Namita Thapar and Anupam Mittal.

A recent promo of Shark Tank India 2 displayed all the sharks fighting over a single pitch, which led to a heated argument between Namita Thapar and Anupam Mittal

A woman representing her brand Nestroots was able to impress all judges. As informed by the budding entrepreneur, the company, Nestroots is an Indian brand that has already become a part of more than 1 lakh homes.

The lady said,

“We give kitchen, dining, decor, furnishing solutions”

Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, was very impressed by the brand. Peyush Bansal then went on to ask if the brand was making any profits yet. The entrepreneur responded to it and said that her net profitability is between 16-19 percent.

The first ones among the sharks to give her an offer were Vineeta and Anupam. They quickly offered Rs. 65 lakhs for 4% equity. Aman got angry that Vineeta never agreed or teamed up with him. Aman was furious and said,

“Kabhi toh kisi aur ko leliya karo yaar (Ask someone else too sometimes).”

Anupam interfered and said that he doesn’t add any value but only shows off. Replying to Aman he said,

“Tum value nahi add karte ho yaar sirf herogiri karte ho (you only act smart, add no value).”

To this Aman replied,

“Hero will stay a hero and villain will stay a villain”

and offered Rs. 65 lakhs for 5% equity and asked Vineeta to choose between him and Anupam to team up. While Vineeta, Aman, and Anupam were arguing among themselves, Peyush added that he was willing to offer Rs 65 lakh for just 1 percent.

In the promo, Namita is seen disagreeing with Anupam’s offer. Anupam says in response to her that her opinion has no value to him. He says,

“It doesn’t matter what you think yaar.”

Their discussion soon turned into an ugly fight, and Namita was seen walking away from the show saying,

“Not okay, you need to keep your ego in check.”
