Sony Entertainment created a program last year that follows the idea of being business-driven, called Shark Tank India. Unexpectedly, the show became a huge hit throughout the country. Everyone who has a deep or a somewhat deep interest in entrepreneurship and business is aware of the sudden increase in popularity that Shark Tank India has seen over the past year.

Given that it showcases a wide variety of original, out-of-the-box concepts created by people all around India, the program has helped revolutionize the country’s entrepreneurial landscape. Shark Tank India, which is a replica of the well-known American program Shark Tank, has boosted the aspirations of India’s nascent entrepreneurs.

Now, after a fantastic first season that enthralled the whole nation, the second season of Shark Tank India has finally premiered amid much hype and anticipation.

The second season of the well-known show Shark Tank India premiered on January 2, and many people gave it a thumbs up. However, it appears that shortly after the first episode was shown, a new controversy erupted surrounding the program.

The Sharks faced severe criticism for rejecting their rival’s pitch

It all happened because sharks rejected the pitch of the rival brand, Vineeta Singh’s Sugar Cosmetics brand. Vineeta became noticeably shocked on the show when informed that the company being pitched, Recode, follows the official Instagram account of her brand, Sugar, despite being pleased by the makeup brand’s presentation in the first episode.

It did not go down well with the fans, and several of them expressed their displeasure on Twitter.

As one internet user claimed, Season 2 made it clear that it is a friendship club of wealthy individuals who sit around to discourage hard-working small businesses that generate “profits,” while another wrote that the show’s name must be “Friendship Tank of India” and not Shark Tank of India.

Namita Thapar hits back at trolls in her own style

After a day of intense online trolling, Namita Thapar hits back at the trolls in a recent post, saying that she condemns “toxicity” rather than praising those who lack “integrity.” She also added that she doesn’t have any regrets about rejecting the pitch of Sugar’s rival brand.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote,

“Being a shark doesn’t mean we are not entitled to our independent values & speaking candidly so if I don’t invest in a fellow sharks competition, that’s me, no regrets & if I call out toxicity & don’t join the ignorant that celebrate people w lack of integrity.. that’s me :)”

She later added,

“Who is the toxicity comment about ? Samajhdar ko ishara kaafi”
