Here’s What PM Modi Replied To Man Who Said Kashmir Is A ‘Must Visit’ Place

PM Modi on the rising tourism in Jammu and Kashmir

With regard to sustainability, tourism is getting better in Kashmir. This could be figured out with the tweet made by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR). Tagging the prime minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Ministry of Tourism, and the government of Jammu and Kashmir, DIPR wrote,

“Tourism sector in J&K is being developed as per the vision of sustainable development goals and focus is being given to strengthen the hospitality segment & for establishing a robust tourism infra.”

PM Modi said in a post, in response to a tweet by the government celebrating “record number of tourist arrivals,” change and developments in the Union Territory.

“Wonderful news! Compliments to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their warmth and hospitality”

A Twitter user replied to the Prime Minister’s earlier tweet

Ranjeet Kumar had earlier in the day shared pictures from his recent trip to Kashmir. He visited the place after 45 years and claimed them to be as beautiful as ever. Kumaar said in a response to the Prime Minister’s earlier tweet hailing a record number of tourist footfall in Jammu and Kashmir. While sharing the pictures he wrote,

“I visited Kashmir late last month, after 45 years of my visit as a student, and found those places like Baisaran, Aru, Kokernag, Achhbal, Gulmarg, and Srinagar still very beautiful. Only Char Chinar in the Dal Lake has one old chinar tree. People have the same warmth. Must visit.”

PM Modi replied to Ranjeet Kumaar’s tweet saying “Excellent.” He did so as he shared a picture of his visit to Srinagar in 2019 in response to a tweet urging him to visit Kashmir. Sharing a picture of himself beside the Dal Lake in Srinagar PM Modi said in the tweet and we quote,

“Excellent. I’m also tempted to share a picture from my visit to Srinagar in 2019.”

Over 1.62 crore tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir since January, which is the highest record in the past 75 years of Indian Independence. With such a rise in tourism employment opportunities have also risen in several places. Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu, and the Kashmir Valley are to name a few.
