A touching moment from New Delhi Railway Station has gone viral on social media after an elderly man went out of his way to help an Indonesian woman retrieve her dupatta from the railway tracks. The woman, who was recording a video near the gate of a stationary train, accidentally dropped the scarf-like garment into the narrow gap between the platform and the train while handling her camera.

As she stood confused about what to do next, a man walking nearby immediately noticed the situation and rushed to help. He first attempted to pull the dupatta out with his hand from above, but when that did not work, he carefully climbed down onto the tracks himself. Within seconds, he managed to recover the dupatta and handed it back to the woman safely. Reacting to the incident later, the woman said,

“I never expected him to actually jump down onto the tracks just to help me.”

What made the moment even more special for viewers online was the man’s humble reaction afterwards. Instead of waiting for praise or attention, he quietly climbed back up and walked away. Referring to him as “Rahul,” a nod to Shah Rukh Khan’s famous character from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the woman shared how surprised she was by the stranger’s kindness, adding that she had not expected someone to help her so quickly.
