In recent times, Bengaluru has been making headlines for significant challenges the city is facing. The residents of India’s startup capital were experiencing water shortage and now they are struggling with scorching heat. Bengaluru is well known for its pleasant climate but the rising temperature is being a major concern for the residents. Amidst all this, an individual who is presently residing in Bengaluru took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his plight due to the scorching heat.
The Bengaluru man takes refuge in OYO to beat the heat
The X user Rishabh Srivastava took to X and shared that to protect himself from the heat, he took refuge in an OYO hotel as he was finding it difficult to survive without AC anymore. He humorously compared the city’s current climate to a shift from “chill” to “grill”. He posted,
Looks like Bangalore weather decided to level up from chill to grill. ☀️
Can’t survive without AC anymore. Checked into @oyorooms as a refugee.

OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal also reshared the post and supported the company’s official account.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru’s rising temperature due to the ongoing heatwave is wreaking havoc. Lately, a video of a man handing out water bottles to traffic police officers went viral on social media. The video was shared by a Bangalore City Police traffic warden, Shree Ram Bishnoi, who conveyed that the kind-hearted man does this regularly to help the constables in Hebbal in soaring heat. Social media users lauded the man, calling him one of the city’s “unsung heroes”.
As of today’s report for Bengaluru, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the maximum temperature is likely to be around 35 to 36 degrees Celsius over the next 48 hours in the city. The rising temperature is having an impact on the residents as they are used to the pleasant Bengaluru climate.
