The Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is set to take place on January 22. Today, it is going to be a grand affair with several stars arriving from various locations and industries to take part in this historic event.

The town is all decked up for the occasion. Among the renowned personalities Indian sportspersons, guests from the entertainment industry, and politics, and well-known names from many other fields are going to attend the auspicious ceremony.

The guests invited to the ceremony include Virat Kohli, Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Shefali Shah, Pawan Kalyan, Randeep Hooda, singer Sonu Nigam, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Ayushmann Khurrana, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor.

South African cricketer, Keshav Maharaj, extended his wishes for the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony in Ayodhya

Keshav Maharaj’s great-grandfather was from the Sultanpur village in Uttar Pradesh. He is proud of his Indian roots and he has been public about his faith sharing pictures of when he visited the temples after the ICC ODI World Cup as well in 2023. The South African cricketer has recently visited the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in India during the World Cup.

The left-arm spinner sent his wishes ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya which will take place on January 22. He is presently leading the Durban Super Giants SA T20.

In a video posted on his social media handle, Keshav wished for peace and harmony through spiritual enlightenment

In the video, Maharaj said,

“Namaste everyone. I just want to wish my Indian community in South Africa for the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya tomorrow. May there be peace, harmony and spiritual enlightenment to all. Jai Shri Ram.”

When he came out to bat in the ODI series against India in South Africa, he also walked out to the Ram Siya Ram track from the film ‘Adipurush’. When the Indian wicket-keeper KL Rahul cheekily asked him,

“Keshav Bhai… Every time you come to the crease, they play this song.”

The South African cricketer smiled and replied,

“Yeah.”

The 33-year-old stated it was his way of showing gratitude to God. He told PTI,

“Obviously, something that I put forward to the media lady and requested that song to be played,” “For me, God has been my greatest blessing, giving me guidance and opportunity. So, it’s the least that I can do and it also j ust gets you in your zone. It’s a nice feeling walking out (into the ground) to hear ‘Ram Siya Ram’ playing in the background”

Several sports personalities including Sachin Tendulkar, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Anil Kumble have been invited to the grand occasion.
