Mia Khalifa also known as Mia Callista, needs no introduction today. 27-year-old Lebanese-American actress and social media personality have only worked in the adult industry for three months but she has already made millions of fans all around the world, who are crazy for her. She had a huge impact and is still the second-most searched star on the popular adult sites in the year 2018.
On BBC HARDtalk, Mia explained the reason for the choice of her career.

“I don’t think low self-esteem discriminates against anyone. It doesn’t matter if you come from a great family or if you come from a not-so-great background.”
Although it has been over three years since Mia quit working in the adult film industry, she said that she has no personal life even at this point of time.
“I think post-traumatic stress kicks in mostly when I go on public. Because the stares I get, I feel like people can see through my clothes. And it brings me deep shame. It makes me feel like I lost all rights to my privacy, which I did because I am just one Google search away.”
Mia, in fact, also said during the show that her family had no idea about her stint in the adult film industry initially.
“And they disowned me when they found out. I felt completely alienated by not just the world, but my family and the people around me. Especially after I quit, when I was still alone, even though I left. And I just realised some mistakes aren’t forgivable. But time heals all wounds, and things are getting better now.”
Recently, in an interview Mia revealed about her total income from the adult film industry as everyone believes the actress has earned millions from the industry. As the adult film stars gradually earn a good amount of money.
Despite all that, Mia Khalifa claims to have earned only 12000 dollars from her work in the porn industry.

“As far as shooting for other companies, other than your own, you make a day rate. Thus it depends on how many days/scenes you shoot. If you shoot 12 you make $12k if you shoot 365 you make $365k (on average) that’s why it’s important to shoot your own content, $ for life.”
