When Ramesh Chauhan, the Chairman of Bisleri International was asked about the report that he has settled to sell his business to the Tata Group firm he said,

“It’s not correct… We are still discussing.”

Even in a media statement, Bisleri International Spokesperson stated,

“We are currently in discussion and cannot disclose further.”

The company registered a profit of Rs 100 crore in 2020 and Rs 95 crore in 2021. Reports suggest that in the financial year 2023, Bisleri is expected to make a profit of Rs 220 crore.

Ramesh Chauhan was born in 1940 and is aged 82 as of 2022. As you can see he is old and there is no one to take care of the company. The businessman revealed that his daughter Jayanti Chauhan is not interested in the Bisleri business. According to reports, the reign of the company will be given to the company that takes over Bisleri till then the current management will continue for two years.

Chauhan made it clear that he won’t even keep a minority stake in the business. He plans to use the money for plastic recycling, water harvesting, and charity.

Let’s talk about Jayanti Chauhan, the billionaire’s daughter

Jayanti Chauhan is the business honcho’s only child. At the age of 24, she joined the company. Jayanti Chauhan is 37 years old as of 2022. She did a product development course from Los Angeles’ Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). She is also associated with fashion styling and photography which she studied at the Istituto Marangoni Milano and from London College of Fashion.

Jayanti also has a degree in Arabic from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She is also an avid traveler and an animal lover. Her current position in the company is the vice-chairman. She is popularly known as JRC.

She played a key role in the company’s automation. To build stronger teams, she also restructured the HR, Sales, and Marketing departments. In 2011, she took charge of the Mumbai office.

If Bisleri’s deal with TCPL is finalized, then the Tata group firm is going to be converted into a leader in the fast-growing bottled water segment. Besides that, it is also present in the hydration segment with Tata Copper Plus Water and Tata Gluco.
