Recent reports on Bisleri suggest that Tata Consumer Products Limited may buy the brand at Rs 7,000 crore. Though the deal hasn’t been finalized yet with Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL). The Tata Group firm also stated in a regulatory filing, that it is in discussion with Bisleri International, for the growth and expansion of the business of the company.

When Ramesh Chauhan, the Chairman of Bisleri International was asked about the report that he has settled to sell his business to the Tata Group firm he said,

“It’s not correct… We are still discussing.”

Even in a media statement, Bisleri International Spokesperson stated,

“We are currently in discussion and cannot disclose further.”

The company registered a profit of Rs 100 crore in 2020 and Rs 95 crore in 2021. Reports suggest that in the financial year 2023, Bisleri is expected to make a profit of Rs 220 crore.

Ramesh Chauhan was born in 1940 and is aged 82 as of 2022. As you can see he is old and there is no one to take care of the company. The businessman revealed that his daughter Jayanti Chauhan is not interested in the Bisleri business. According to reports, the reign of the company will be given to the company that takes over Bisleri till then the current management will continue for two years.

Chauhan made it clear that he won’t even keep a minority stake in the business. He plans to use the money for plastic recycling, water harvesting, and charity.

Jayanti Chauhan is the business honcho’s only child. At the age of 24, she joined the company. Jayanti Chauhan is 37 years old as of 2022. She did a product development course from Los Angeles’ Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM).
