Irfan Khan was earlier trolled for hiding his wife’s face

Irfan Pathan and his family graced Sania Mirza’s goodbye celebration on March 5, 2023. But for hiding his wife Safa Baig’s face during the function, the former cricketer faced vicious trolling. Safa covered her head and face with a dupatta and mask and looked lovely in a floor-length, full-sleeved outfit. Netizens, however, were not amused by her disguised appearance and chastised the cricketer for withholding his wife’s face.

On the other side, Safa stated in an interview with The Times of India that she is a very private person and dislikes being the center of attention. She continued by saying that nobody pushed her to hide her face; it was her decision. Speaking about this, Safa said,

“I had created an Instagram account for Imran and I post stuff there, so that he can look back at some lovely memories once he grows up. I handle this account and for this particular photograph, I had blurred my face out of choice. It was completely my decision and Irfan had absolutely nothing to do with it. I never thought that posting a harmless family photograph would create a needless controversy like this. I am a very private person and I never like to be the centre of attraction. Even when Irfan gets papped, I immediately move away.”

On his Instagram page, Irfan Pathan revealed a lovely photo of himself and his wife, Safa Baig, in celebration of their eighth wedding anniversary. Safa looked gorgeous in the picture, wearing an embroidered beige suit and a beautifully draped dupatta. She looked elegant, thanks to her understated makeup and the dupatta that covered her hair. Irfan, in a stylish blue kurta-pajama ensemble, looked effortlessly dapper.
