I hate people born in rich families

The disparity between the rich and the poor has long been a cause of conflict and unhappiness in cultures all over the world. While many people seem to be accommodated with this difference, this leads to frustration in a bunch of people. The resentment that many people have against those who are born into wealthy individuals and enjoy perks that seem out of reach for the average person is one way that this conflict manifests itself.

This dissatisfaction extends beyond concerns about financial inequality and addresses more fundamental ones about opportunity, justice, and the alleged moral ramifications of inherited riches. A similar kind of incident recently went viral on social media. A teenager expressed his frustration over this inequality in a viral rant.

A teenager’s rant over rich people went viral

A young student preparing for the JEE examinations posted on Reddit about how much he despises those who are born into wealthy homes. He conveyed his intense irritation at the sharp disparity between his life and the lives of his more wealthy classmates.

In a post on Reddit titled “I hate people born in rich families”, he wrote that his father is a wealthy man’s driver. He expressed his daily aggravation at witnessing his father put on his clothes to serve somebody else. The employer’s son has a luxurious lifestyle, attending a prestigious international school, and taking advantage of extravagances that are beyond what he can afford. In his article, he wrote,

Everyday I wake up nd see my dad dress up in shirt pant to be a driver for some rich man. That man has a son around my age who goes to top international school in my city. It pisses me off that here I am struggling to buy a second hand Samsung phone and that guy is enjoying life going to parties. All because he was born to a rich dad. Why did I have to be born to my poor parents.

He added,

Is it wrong for me to hate that guy? I am preparing for JEE like crazy everyday and that guy he will probably go to America for college without any hard work. I hate my life.

The teenager’s rant over rich people getting so many privileges reflects the increasing frustration of the majority of today’s teens who don’t get what they want. However, it doesn’t mean that we should resent somebody just because they are getting more. They might know you as a good person. However, your resentment might hurt their feelings or your parent’s pride. So, before resenting somebody, check their personality, not their pocket.
