Keeping the train clean is undoubtedly one of these problems that is most noticeable
The extreme dirtiness of Indian trains was a common complaint. In addition to this, there have also been numerous cases of improper trash management on trains that have gone viral online. In a similar instance, a video of a housekeeping employee throwing trash over the tracks of a moving train has recently gone viral online. Not only this, but it also sparked discussion about how Indian Railways eliminates waste.

Then he uses a floor wiper to dump food garbage onto the rails. Not only this, but also Mumbai Matters stated that railway employees tried to find the passenger who had called the railway helpline at (139) to file a complaint against this activity. The caption said,
“This seems to be the normal practice of the On Board Housekeeping Staff inside #IndianRailways trains. Just dump the all the collected trash on the tracks from the moving train. A passenger lodged a complaint on 139 & in no time the supervisor & entire gang turned trying to find who has complained & why? Saying they aren’t paid properly, not provided enough bags to collect trash & so they are managing with meagre resources.”

Shocking to say the least. While we conduct clean ups across the country, the railway employees seem to have a no care attitude about waste management. @RailMinIndia
