Known by his stage name Flying Beast, Gaurav Taneja is one of the top YouTubers in India and is renowned for his family-man personality. He is married to Ritu Rathee, a pilot and influential mom blogger. Together, they have two children named Kaira, aka Rasbhari, and Chaitravi, aka Pihu. The couple has been widely appreciated for their vlogs, showcasing a joyful and peaceful family life. This is why they are also called YouTube’s favorite power couple.
However, according to recent reports, their marriage is having severe problems. The problems have become so big that they are allegedly considering divorce. In the middle of these rumors, an old video of Gaurav Taneja went viral on social media. In the video, Gaurav claimed he felt Ritu had neglected him after their girls were born.

Gaurav Taneja talked about his wife neglecting him
Gaurav and Ritu participated in Star Plus’ couple reality show, Smart Jodi. During an episode, Gaurav disclosed that their marriage had reached its lowest point with the birth of their first child. He believed Ritu no longer loved him, not because they were upset about the baby. Gaurav said,
At one point in time, I thought that Ritu doesn’t love me anymore as I wasn’t her priority.
Gaurav continued, saying Ritu’s life altered drastically with the birth of their daughter. She became absorbed in her role as a mother, taking on tasks like feeding, burping, and scheduling her sleep. But because he had to leave for work as well, he felt abandoned during this process and was unable to take any action. Gaurav added,
Every couple goes through a difficult phase wherein they feel like things are falling apart. Ritu and I also faced such situation when we became parents for the first time. Ritu was totally engrossed with the mommy duties. She was going through a lot. From figuring out baby’s sleeping cycle to feeding her and everything else. I wasn’t around her as I had to go to work.
Back then, Gaurav and Ritu sorted their problems
Later, during a talk, Gaurav and Ritu discussed how the former believed his wife had ignored him. Ritu said she thought the same thing about him. After giving it some thought, the couple decided not to have the same problems when their second child is born. Gaurav said,
I spoke to Ritu and asked her if she loved me anymore, and she stated that she felt the same about me. We sat down and spoke about the issue. I realised that I wasn’t able to understand her and the routine change that happened with the baby’s arrival. I was a first-time father, too, and didn’t know what to expect with the baby entering a couple’s life. I believe a lot of couples who live in the nuclear setup go through this phase.

On 28th September 2024, Gaurav wrote the first-ever note on his Instagram handle amid divorce rumors. In Devnagri, he uploaded a pictorial note that said, “Joi Joi mohe pyaar kare, soi mohe have.” The main message of the statement is that I reciprocate people’s love for them. Gaurav included a lengthy message with it in which he explained his feelings. He wrote that, for the benefit of his kids and their mother, he would not explain his position.

Although Gaurav and Ritu were able to get through difficult times together in the past, their supporters are now worried about the latest reports that they may be splitting up.
