Ganesh Chaturthi is a vibrant Hindu festival. For all the right reasons? Indeed for all the right reasons. It is widely celebrated in India, however, in the regions of Maharashtra, Ganesh Chaturthi is something different, altogether! A plethora of B-town celebrities also install a murti of Ganesh ji in order to celebrate the festival.

One such B-town personality is none other than filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan. She uploaded some stunning snippets of her Ganesh Chaturthi celebration but she also received a little criticism for wearing slippers.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi marked its commencement on 19th September 2023. Like many people living in Maharashtra, Farah Khan also installed Bappa’s idol and did puja with her close ones. She took to her Instagram and shared some stunning snippets of her celebration at home. In a post that she shared one can witness Huma Qureshi and Patralekhaa joining Farah in order to add to the elegance of the moment.

Each of the three women adorned themselves in exquisite traditional outfits, creating a striking visual as they stood together with folded hands. Huma radiated beauty in a captivating purple salwar suit, while Patralekhaa adorned herself in a graceful beige saree. Farah, in contrast, appeared fabulous in a printed matching outfit. She kept her look simple with minimal makeup and loose hair. To enhance her appearance, the renowned filmmaker opted for subtle earrings, a dainty necklace, and stylish sandals.

Farah posted the picture with a caption as we quote,

“Happy Ganesh Chaturthi with lov frm khan, qureshi & rao/Paul p. s- @rajkummar_rao u were so busy that v did this without u”

Netizens tried to criticize Farah for wearing slippers during Puja, however, she did not hesitate to give an on-point reply to them

Farah received a lot of compliments from her fans however there were indeed some who were quick to notice her with slippers on. Many of them did not appreciate her choice of wearing slippers during Puja. Netizens took to the comment section and posted comments pointing it out.

One netizen wrote as we quote,

“Plz remove ur slippers in front of ganesha.”

Without taking much time Farah replied to the netizen. She clarified that the photo was taken outdoors, not in front of Ganpati Bappa. She wrote as we quote,

“we were outside the house thank you very much.”

Apart from posting a picture, Farah also shared a few more snippets of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration via her Instagram stories. The first story of hers features her in a gorgeous pink suit which resembles an Anarkali. Other than that she has adorned herself in classy earrings, shiny heels, and a mesmerizing potli.

Another story features her in the same look as in her post but with two new buddies. Those are Maniesh Paul and his wife Sanyukta Paul. The couple features in similar coloured outfits which are a darker shade of purple. While Maniesh has paired his kurta with a white Patiala, his wife is wearing an Anarkali.
